Re: Digital Camera Equipment. THE Help and discussion thread.

Hey Moto, if memory serves HollowHorn's got a 400D, and there's bound to be others on here wi one. Most of the reviews I've read say it's brilliant, though the kit lens ain't that hot, and that some might find it a bit awkward to hold, especially if they've got large hands. That kind of thing's pers...

Re: Squinty Bridge Closed

At least it'll look bonny till the eager beaver engineers figure it out. (That's not meant as sarcastically as it comes across in writing :| ) With luck, they'll get it sorted soon :)

I just noticed I got me a stripe too. Man, I've got too much spare time...

Re: Squinty Bridge Closed

no a fan? Ach, it's mainly my bad habit of being offended by modernity on a personal level. I can say, in all honesty and in a spirit of magnanimity, I've seen worse  A bridge of any sort is a damn sight better than no bridge. As for iconic, so was the Hindenburg  (and the first Tay ...

Re: Edinburgh

Nice one, Onny, cheers for that :D The playing is a wee bit ropey for sure, but nice tune. I wonder: The Banks Hornpipe - the place I took the photos in is called Moray Bank Gardens, or the Banks for short. Surely no coincidence?

Re: Gay Glasgow

Yeah, thanks for that, duck. I somehow always carry the idea that being gay in the 70s was all grim repression and what not. Maybe you were indeed lucky, but its nice to hear another side to it. Sounds like a good time was had :)

I had to do it too: http://www.straightdope.com/columns/040102.html

Re: Last Famous Person You Saw On The Streets Of Glasgow was...

I've never seen anybody famous in Glasgow, but a friend who does deliveries around the city in an absurdly over-powered Merc van claims to have nearly killed the singer fi Idlewild and 'that prick of a singer fi Wet Wet Wet' (his words) in a single day a while back. He hoped to make it third time lu...
