I've worked in a few professions in my time, and still have a shop job on the go for a bit of extra income, until I'm fully qualified. Having worked in shops before I'd say the attitude of customers has gone steadily downhill in the past few years. I kinda blame the supermarkets 'customer is always...

To be honest mate, if the roads are there and people have paid the money to use them then they can drive on whatever roads they wish (following highways rules). Just because a road is residential doesn't stop it being a throughfare, and if something causes traffic patters to change and that road to...

Hmm interesting. 1. Braehead. Horrific place killing our towns. 2. Kingston Bridge (O.K not a building but a structure- should have been put well out of site and mind and stopped the M8 cutting Finnieston from the City.) 3.Those Horrible flats at Whitevale near Duke Street. They look horrific and ma...

I'm not a driver but I don't think it's a particularly bad thread. We just need some more to add to it. Well maybe it is interesting if you are a driver. Personally I find it absolutely extraordinary that so many of the car owning population appear to view driving as a game with the principal objec...

...................... What about the roads down at the squinty bridge, will that not be bedlam when that opens? What a rat run that will become. The reason given for planning to scrap the tolls on the Erskine Bridge is to take pressure off the city centre crossings, including the tunnel. I can jus...

And another thing, they pay way less council tax but come into our fair city every day and use our facilities That can't be right surely, East Renfrewshire have had the largest Council Tax increases for the last god knows how many years and how many Newton Mearns households will be bands A-D, not m...

I don't think Park and Ride is activily discouraged, however try to find a community that wants brownfield or greenfield land made into a car park! We want one just not near us thanks! Park and ride does lead to a unique problem of increased car use in the suburban areas where they are locate...

Personally I don't think the development is good on traffic grounds. We already have a major development in Glasgow Harbour, and Morrisons have an existing supermarket within 100 yards. Not to mention that the road is really 1 lane, is the main link between Partick Cross and the expressway, and has ...

Driving to work in Paisley is fine - by 9.30 the traffic is all going the other way - driving home just now is a different matter... :x   :x  Have you tried Paisley in the rush hour. It's a mare thanks to the M8 White Cart viaduct and all those people who waste more time diverting...

Glasgow Subway

A little tip to the people who run our wonderful subway SPTE. When you reupholster the seats clean the ones next to it. It doesn't have show up when some are bright orange and others a dull brown!

They can legally only stay up for 3 months, and if they don't notice reflective lines on the road are they going to notice another grafittied reflective sign?

Quick update. Apparently B&Q at Braehead has been sold to COSTCO the trade warehouse company (similar to Makro who can't be happy!).

Spookily enough as mentioned on another thread IKEA Edinburgh and COSTCO are located across the road from one another!

OK, this is no joke... the last 2 nights, I've been head to head with someone on that stretch of Paisley Road West Monday night, I was behind a clio when it suddenly swerved into the bus lane, and there was a car heading towards me... I flashed my full beam and started to break and it swerved back ...
