Re: Looking South East from Cranhill in 1966

Thanks for all the replies and tickey's explanation makes perfect sense considering the 1975 implementation of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 saw the are transfer from the county of Lanark to Glasgow Ciry Council authority. The black roofed tenements that I mentioned upon further inspectio...

Re: Where are you bringing in the Bells?

Working nightshift tonight and tomorrow. Volunteered to do so as I am single just now and don't have kids so it frees the time for someone who does have such commitments. That said once I finish at at half seven upon the fore-noon of January the second I find myself off until Tuesday the ninth durin...

Re: Have you got any snow?

A question that is often asked is what is happiness? To some it is close friends, for some the company of family, others it may be the smile of a newborn child, many will say the joy of Christmas and the poets amongst us would even say that true happiness is taking lyrical inspiration from a fleetin...

Re: Save Gilbertfield from housing development

Lisa,

Having spent my first thirteen years in Halfway I would love to sign however the link suggests that the petition is closed. Should that be rectified I shall sign.

Good luck

My friend who works in Strathclyde University texted me to say that a tannoy announcement was made to the effect of or...

Re: HG Christmas Drinks Night Friday 3rd of Dec, 9pm at Stereo

After that Charity-inspired full-body depilation of yours, Shuggy, there's not any better description than 'pink'. The tragic story of the charity-related-total-body-depilation and the subsequent financial disaster sounds like it's well worth an airing, btw, if you feel up to it. I certainly don't ...

Re: Best Places to play pool in Glasgow

The Eightball has been closed each time I passed for some time now.

Potters in West Regent Street has a few well maintained tables although it is a pound a pop. If it is a pool tournament between your mates then I suggest you go to any of the Riley's pool halls as you can hire a table.
