I'm left-handed for writing, using a spoon etc, but right-handed when playing snooker/pool.

A comment I heard many years ago springs to mind reading this thread;

Getting back to the OP - are we sure it wasn't a Golden Eagle? It's the only large raptor I can think of with a yellow beak. I know it's a bit far south for their normal habitat, but the other birds with yellow beaks would be too small, going by the description.

I have cancer myself, and although some of his columns regarding his fight against this disease were quite insightful, his comments regarding still smoking while getting treatment, drinking wine etc throughout (lucky git - I couldn't!!)
