very handy to go for an Indian meal then a club night

have you been to Basura Blanca, under Hotel Brunswick? - I went there once in September - it was a dub night - very good indeed

Re: Underground Resistance live @ Pressure 28th October

Dunno if this is the right place to put this, but I just found out that Underground Resistance - one of Detroit's most influential techno outfits - are making an extremely rare live appearance at Pressure @ The Arches on 28th October. For anyone into 'the scene' these guys belong to, this will be a...

Interesting you thought it had been demolished. I cycle every day on the bridge over the expressway and when I look to the West, I see the modern buildings of Glasgow Harbour. I've always thought "how long before the Antiques warehouses are demolished to make room for more brand new residential buil...

How was the gig? I v stupidly misplaced my ticket and couldn't afford to replace it. The gig... wasn't, not for me anyway. I was literally walking out of my flat when I got a phone call asking me if I could do an urgent translation. Saying no wasn't an option, so I stayed in and earned the equivale...

French - cool! I'm hoping to start learning French again when I move to Glasgow. Are there lots of French people around? I haven't really looked into that. The only French people I know of are those playing for Rangers  You could always go to Alliance française (Circus Park) and I'm sure t...

God, I've just realised I haven't introduced myself. How rude. Must be because I'm of French stock. I've been living in Glasgow for almost 2 years, earn a living through translation, am interested in anything from Klezmer music to The Tiger Lillies, Glasgow to Sarajevo, Rab C Nesbitt to Pasolini, "L...

Ah, funny, "Coin-operated boy" is what got me into it too. Brilliant song isn't it. I always thought it would be a perfect anthem for another Glasgow jewel called Sharmanka (http://www.sharmanka.com) on King Street. Well, I wonder if she'll ask if someone in the crowd wants to replace drummer Brian.

Stuff Records parties in the basement of the Brunswick Hotel

Spent the last hour browsing through the pics of the Hiddenglasgow website. Spooky... how so many of those photos are of constructions/places/things I photographed myself during one of my random wanders through Glasgow. I heard about Hiddenglasgow (I keep wanting to write Hiddenagenda) in the last i...
