The linked article notes the obstacles to the scheme notably the fact that the building is listed and ... The document notes that it is "unlikely" the first stage of the works, including the demolition of the school and the creation of the avenue leading to the stadium, would be complete t...

Re: Are the tenements on Colebrooke St leaning backwards ?

Glasgow Academy has bought those tenements and will be demolishing them to build a new science building on the site. I didn't know that, but it doesn't really surprise me. The Academy already has the top half of Colebrooke Street, which also used to be residential. No doubt they got these tenements...

Re: Links to funny, cool or interesting stuff

storm in a tea cup.end of. I disagree with that. The question is, what would have happened if the 'big man' hadn't intervened on - as he saw it - the behalf of the conductor and his fellow passengers? I think the outcome of the assault charge will be highly influential on the thinking of the public...

Re: What Camera have you got?

Just bought a Nikon D5100 with Nikor 18-55 AFS lens and a Nikor 55-300 AFS lens.

Bit of a photographic step-up for me but the lenses alone give me so much more capability than my old 'fire and forget' camera.

Re: NOW Scandal

Watching the news and reading online tonight, many feel that the former editor of the NOW should have resigned, some believe prosecuted - but does the buck stop there? If Murdoch himself is 'Commander in Chief' of his mightly news empire, should he not be prosecuted if these allegations are proven?...

Re: tommy sherridan

Nevertheless, the appearance of taped police interviews with the Sheridans in a BBC documentary is worthy of a complaint.

Re: Student Riots

Seems to me there are two issues here. The first is whether higher education should be paid for out of general taxation or out of individual fees paid by the student. I tend to see education as a national resource and that it is in everyone's interests to have an educated populace. As such, it is re...

Re: Fitba' referees.

I don’t understand folk asking for a thread to be locked when all it is is a discussion, I also don’t understand folk posting on a thread for no other reason than to try and get it locked. If you want to lock threads, become a mod and accept the grief that they get when they do lock stuff. Don’t si...
