First post in about three years!

Re: St Andrew House

The plinth is significantly worse than the tower itself - the blue fins in particular are absolute shockers, and totally unnecessary. Personally I would have liked to have seen the plinth clad in a more 'matte' finish. As for the tower, well...is that it? I have to admit to having a wee crush on the...

Re: Black & White Photography

Really love the sharpness and contrast of those.

Any special technique or process that you've used to get that?

Re: The Jolly Giant

The Jolly Giant was fantastic!

Re: New Transport Museum at Riverside

I've no idea how much went into the design, but I would imagine it would be a fair chunk...although more probably went into the engineering to make the thing stand up! I think it's very easy to be 'wowed' by the building. Long before it was finished, the plan form and the kinda 'saw-tooth' profile h...

Re: New Transport Museum at Riverside

I think it definitely requires repeat visits. The problem I found on my first visit was that I was looking round it with an image of the old floor plan in my head, so it just didn't feel right. My thing was that the layout of the old museum was such that you could very easily divide up your visit in...

Wedding Photography...help needed!

Hi guys, My fiancé and I are getting married in June next year, and are currently wading through the interminable number of photographers, caterers etc., to cut a long story short, we're on the scrounge! Basically, we're a bit horrified at the kind of prices for photography that we're finding, but w...
