Re: Whit's fur tea?

It's soup weather, made a huge pot of minestrone last night which should last a few cold days.

Re: Whit's fur tea?

Mussels in wine, garlic, creme frais, mustard and parsley - with focaccia. Sea-bass fillet with green beans. Lots of plonk - New Zealand wines even cheaper now at Tesco.

Re: What Are You Currently Reading

Two crackers for Christmas: "Glasgow, the Autobiography" edited by Alan Taylor and "Glasgow in 1901" (reprint) by James Hamilton Muir.
Both highly recommended.

Re: Whit's fur tea?

Terrific selection of fish at Tesco's in Shettleston today: lots of whole fish and odds like skate wings and sprats. Bought dogfish and the guy gave me a discount as I was the first person to buy it.

Durachdan,

Eddy

PS - cheap as chips too

Re: Whit's fur tea?

Bolognese with pappardelle. Made the ragu last night, it's even better on the second day, like most stews. Made bread while I was at it: two focaccia and a white loaf.

Re: Auld Glesga Trams & Buses

I bow to your "heavy chimney evidence" here CB. I checked again and note that the 29 was indeed re-routed along Dalmarnock Rd. from time to time.
