Hi Igor I presume you must mean the Tunnel that runs under the Canal at Lock 26,which in the Seventies had a Piggery next to it,and also a Lane which i believe would take you to Anniesland?? Hi Retired Tiger At least you had one consollation,when you cycled From Kilsyth/ Auchenstarrie It would be even ground to Lock 21 [ Maryhill Whitehouse Pub ] then free wheel down to Lock 27, or Dick Stewarts Lock 26 at Nether Knightswood .. Cheers Possilonian

Hi Tamandee..The picture you are painting is of the Bascule Bridge [Cleveden ] and I think the houses you refer to are at Skaethorn Rd [Govan Cottages ] there where two Cottage type houses with Red Bricks and are still standing,a newly built bridge now stands where the Old Bascule wooden Bridge used...
