Re: CHCP news

it is official. the chcp's are dead. just read the bulletin sent out by the health board. makes for intersting reading as it is very much focusssing on managment job losses and saving (thankfully) a great deal of cash on needless accomodation. the health board have not minced their words either, the...

Re: CHCP news

Re: CHCP news

Having stumbled upon this site, can I just say that I am deeply saddened by the attitudes of my so-called colleagues and fellow professionals who supposedly jointly work with me following the principles of 'Getting it Right For Every Child' and 'It's Everyone's job to make sure I'm alright'. I am a...

Re: CHCP news

I work as a nurse in a Glasgow CHCP, and to be blunt, it's shite. We heard rumblings for over a year that it was not working, which we knew it wasn't. The "medical" 'staff (Dr's, nurses etc.) work within a medical model, and the 'social' care staff work within a social model. Medical and ...

Re: CHCP news

Its a shame nurses, doctors and social workers are not getting along because it can only affect the people with mental health problems if those people are working in the same teams. What exactly is the medical model? Is it about treating illness? I thought nursing was different to that and it was a...

i should bloody well think so, it's what we trained for, i did not train as a nurse to become a part time s/w sorting out benefits, housing, and securing funding for care and to perpetuate the patients 'damaged victim status'.

Re: Silverburn and Pollok Civic Realm

jesus effin christing sakes, burger king. you can argue the rights and wrongs of silverburn but i prefered it to most 'malls' as it had 'restraunts' as opposed to minging fast food places like burger king.
