Re: GHA - Homeowners complaints and grumbles

Don’t really want to stick my head above the parapet, especially as I made the schoolboy error of registering in my own name instead of an alias, but I USED to work for GHA, and certainly from what I know, I would be very surprised that one of the cladding contractors hadn’t billed GHA. Re: Ginger

If you were up early enough you could get a lift down Campsie Road to where the school bus picked you u...

Re: Scientology in Glasgow

First time the JWs came to my parents door they told them that they were RC teachers and not interested, but they still come past every month or so, really for a wee chat at the door. However first time they swung past my flat ( some swine has let them in past the secure entry ) they arrived at my d...

Outstanding! Reading this thread brought back the rush I felt when I went to Alien War. Can't believe it was as long ago as 91 though. I remember being young but not only 11 ( as I would have been in 91 ) The age thing really bothers me, as I can clearly still recall at one point me trying to kid on...

yip, just a myth. I used to work in the EDC planning department. Plenty of examples in East Dun of buildings/land being gifted to the "people", only to find their way into the hands of the private sector. Still meant to be for the new academy, planning department and historic scotland are ...

sometimes it is nice to realise that you are not alone in the world. A wee cow moved into the a flat on my landing a year ago. Her being a young single female led me to (wrongly) assume that she would be quite a good neighbour. Not so.... Banging techno music almost every night, parties every weeken...

Don't know if that website tells you, but it will premiere at 20:35 tonight on STV (half-time in the Celtic v Benfica game)

I was very loosely involved in the planning of it.

The rumour was that a German plane crashed there, but there is also an account that is was a "firefly" plane that crashed in the 50s. There are photos of the wreckage somewhere on the web Along with the war story is that two German pilots were buried in the nearby cemetery in the Clachan, ...
