I'm 99% sure that the buildings at the very north of the Palacerigg Railway (shown here) are the site of the buildings of Fannyside Moss Litter Works. I wonder why it doesn't actually say it on this 1922 map. The buildings just seem to be big sheds. Perhaps they were only temporary mobile structures...

Fantastic PPM! I wonder if the tramroads in the photos were the originals used to mine fireclay and later used by the peat cutters. This must be the railway MK mentions. Dunno. Just realised I haven't introduced myself yet.

Been looking at Monkland Canal stuff recently and collected a few aerial pics. Noticed this thread and it seemed like a good place for them. Working west to east.... I never noticed that but saw a piece of rodding on top of the dam which might have been to do with drawing water. As for the entrances they will have been well filled in and covered over likely and the passage of time adds to that. Difficult to tell what size this is but it looks like a single rail...
