Thanks for your kind comments Crusty hope im not boring anyone going on about Yoker - I'm fed up with Yoker being forgotton about or treated like no-mans land when compared to other riverside districts (Partick / Govan / Clydebank etc)... I think there was plans around the late 1970's or early 1980...

Can you get done now by Strathclyde's finest for sitting in your car with the engine running? Someone said to me you get a 20 quid spot fine. Nuts. I think you'll find thats a city council regulation and not police inforced. I think it will be parking attendants (not traffic wardens who are differe...

I definatly like the irony of it all though. A Danish papaer publishes cartoons showing a Muslim figure as a terrorist. To which Muslim extremists come out and promise to behead people, fire raise and damage the embassies and bomb countries. Right... and that proves what? On the other hand I don't s...

I totally agree with Schiehallion bring back Margret Thatcher at least she had an ideology, not like these Lilly livered politicians of today, who only follow opinion polls to maintain or gain power which is all they care about. [url]Bytheway has this got anything to do with you http://www.undiscov...

If someone can correct me, on any of the below feel free! Glasgow Subway uses ATS (IIRC) which means the drivers have very little control of the train, they are only closing doors and pushing a button to start. The train does the rest and the driver has little control other than an emergency stop bu...

They still shepherd you round for internationals - last time I went by train, I bought my ticket at the desk, then had to go outside and queue along Hope St for the train. It didn't take too long. Not sure what the format is tonight, but I'll probably be driving anyway cos it takes too long to queu...

I'd like to see a decent bus service through the Clyde tunnel from NW Glasgow to the Southside. Bring back the 19 :x And refurb the Subway, where possible open up the stations to natural light again. Most are claustrophobic & dingy (& niffy :( ). The 19 IIRC Drumchapel to Victoria Infirmary...

Yeah, I was going to post about this. I think the major hold up yesterday was the police. About half an hour (I was waiting at Buchanan Street) after the trains stopped they announce "We are still waiting for Police to arrive on the scene" - excellent response time, Mr Polis! The incident was appar...

Yes, and they will check everything in their power to make sure it is up to scratch- it's a good idea! You can name roads what you like too but they councils do have the right to veto it or change it when a adopted. Providing it's sensible it makes it through. Don't think we have too many ones like ...

They go through to the other side... York Street? Can't remember

Robertson Street, York Street is the one after.

Didn't realise it was flats. Far too slow for a house builder IMHO, considering how quickly most go up!

Oswald Street

Something occured to me the other day, on Oswald Street just further back down the road from Barrhead Travel their is a building with roadworks which extend into the road, and a large amount of scaffolding seems to be about. I am always on the bus at that point but the building looks to be in a stat...

Hmm, I passed a desk a while back which indicated a 'Helen Street retail project', retail units similar to Netherauldhouse etc. Perhaps this has been chosen as access? I can't remember much about the area but is it car parking behind it?

I have watched the video on Maxwell Park being done up, mind you it wasn't greatly interesting! Maxwell Park is also interesting as it is a ghost station on Microsoft's Autoroute program! I have got off at Pollokshaws East before and can't say I remembered much about the experience. Shawlands is sim...
