I thought the purpose of interviewing all suitably qualified applicants with a disability is so that when/ if an organisation is chastised for not having reached the target of 5% (?) of the workforce being registered disabled, they can point to the fact that they're interviewing all suitable candid...

OK, slowly, so you understand. ok s-l-o-w-l-y for the person with impared intellect... 1. If someone HAS to interview a disabled person simply because the law says so, this then leads to a quota mentality where people who only meet the minimum requirements for a job are invited in merely as a token...

if you have ever been in a GCC office you'll know that space is at a premium. its not legislation to interview disabled people with minimum criteria for the job its part of the positive towards disabled people policy which is voluntary. my previous job was about providing information to employers and disabled jobseekers on getting jobs/employing disabled people/the law etc. I...
