Re: Choose 3 buildings you'd like to introduce to a bulldoze

The whole site of the GRI really needs to be demolished other than the 'Old Building' which needs thoroughly cleaned. The Macewan Building (the one on the left as you enter Casualty from the Parade) is awful. The whole QEB/University Tower (which is getting refurbished at the minute and soon-to-be ...

Re: Wimpey Bars...

There was definitely a Wimpy on Sauchiehall Street in the 80s (covering 2 floors) which became Burger King. It was across the road from Lauders. There was indeed. My friend got a Saturday job there as a "Wimpy Litter Picker" which included dressing up as some kind of mascot and picking up...

The decision has already been made. Consultations, like those in the NHS, are a farce.

Re: Kittens!

I'm looking to get a cat, so I've been looking around. I don't care about pedigree or anything like that. I wouldn't pay 300 quid for a bloomin' cat anyway. 8O I'm looking on Gumtree, and I've told friends to keep an eye out if someone knows anyone whose cat's had a litter, but I've had no joy so f...

Re: Revamp for Odeon

Was at the bus stop across the road the other day and there were some of those red plastic barricades up. Dem master had a van parked just behind them and saw one of those city parking pricks give him a ticket. Honestly, where else are they supposed to park (off on a bit of a tangent but FFS this ci...

Re: Buses Today

First Bus's festive timetable was pretty poor. I waited 40 minutes yesterday morning for a bus, it came packed to the door. Ended up getting a taxi this morning. Hopefully they'll review this Saturday/Sunday service practice next year.
