Re: Bradford’s Bakers launches UK’s first Bakery ATM in Glas

Bradfords are behind the times. Other folks were doing this sort of thing years ago: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0LlfQp8qmw0/TkXCrtq4KTI/AAAAAAAAAIs/8H2h6OvuPFI/s640/automatroberts.jpg You can read more here This also featured in That Touch of Mink with Doris Day getting lunch from an automat. Re: Bluevale/Whitevale Demolition

Whitevale only has one resident left, there are a few more in Bluevale. They should be getting re-housed in the properties being built on the other side of Whitevale Street, next to the railway line.

Re: Tenements with Lifts

Since they're recently build but in an older style façade, I don't know if you'd regard them as 'traditional style' tenements, but the flats in St Andrew's Square (and other new build flats in the Saltmarket area) have lifts. The newer flats on Tollcross Road at the top of Helenvale Street also have...

Re: Glasgow Parks

- Helensvale Park, Barrachnie Park, Bridgeton Park, Budhill Park are all missing their GCC signs. I'm 98% positive I was in the correct places (always a little bit of doubt) but I searched hard around the areas as well and no green signs. Even the local folk confirmed I was in the right places. - G...

Re: Hyndland Cobblers!

Anyone recommend a cobbler? I've tried Merkland Street and Calder Street but I'm not happy with either. The one round the corner from Merkland Street on Dumbarton Road (Bradley's? It's got a blue frontage) is very good, no staples as far as I could tell. Used the one at Bridgeton Cross recently, st...

I'm always surprised by the folk that we see on the 2nd that we never see see any other time. Hello, Alllydoll and Potatojunkie! I'm expecting to see Doorstop and Avenger this time. Re: Best Italian Restaurants

Was in the Piazza Italia in the Italian Centre on Friday night - food was nice, but portions a bit on the small side. Lemon tart was a scliver!

I love Dino's on Sauchiehall Street, family have been going there forever so it's like home. Sarti's also excellent.
