Re: Discover Dowsing 14-15 May 2011, Mugdock

Ladies and Gents, please! Each to their own I say - and don't knock it until you have tried it! I personally haven't dowsed right enough but I have gone dooking for apples... ::): (that smiley's just cost me £21.66)

Re: Formula One

I know where you're coming from there Josef. I only stopped by to find out how much these jumped up "prix" were paying for a litre of fuel for their procession around what amounts to a glorified go-kart track.

Re: Rain, violence and chips: this is Glasgow,

Don't worry about it, everybody is a mug at some point. Some believe in a God, some in a party or a flag, some think that their sister would never shag their husband. However I would say that this debate does reflect that Glasgow has some 'sectarian issues'. Muggins here says that's fine but what h...

Re: Rain, violence and chips: this is Glasgow,

I find new converts tend to be more enthusiastic about their beliefs, while the "born and bred" are less aware of their limited world view . As a "practising" Christian and have been all my life, I find that quite insulting. Clearly it is within my limitations to see that this d...

Re: Rain, violence and chips: this is Glasgow,

I know I've contributed to this thread before now but I'm still drawn to the the title. How did we get to an ecumenical debate? Can't we debate the rights and the wrongs of the Tongs and the Fleet settling differences over a disputed Pie Supper in the pissing rain on Glasgow Green? Seems to me to be...

Re: Rain, violence and chips: this is Glasgow,

Basically, there is no Catholic rain and there is no Protestant rain. There are no Catholic chips and there are no Protestant chips. Even the violence is statistically more likely than not to be neither Catholic violence nor Protestant violence. Let's all not go to church together, and instead we'l...

Re: Rain, violence and chips: this is Glasgow,

Maybe I'm being naive here, but if the "school" question didn't exist surely another query would be used to establish an individiual's faith such as "where were you on Sunday, Seamus - I never seen you at the kirk?" Then again, maybe not....

Re: A wee joke

Any one fancy going to an X rated comedy show? The guy is hilarious. Racist, homophobic, cross dressing - tells bizarre made up stories that people believe. Hates Jews, loves Paedophiles and nazis. Should be a laugh. Anyway it's next thursday at bellahouston park. It was the cross dressing bit that...
