Re: What are you watching?

It's a timely movie/film as there is increasing use of robots in the medical field. They are being used in care (in place of a nurse) and also in operations. I have not seen this film but I will soon. One of our friends is involve in research on the use of robots in hospitals.

Re: The Co-op Building...

Its important that we retain/maintain the character of the area. I can think of other similar buildings such as Eglington Toll and Paislet Road Toll that do add to the area and we cannot afford to loose them. No doubt this Co-Op building will be replaced but its important that its foot print and gen...

Re: Cheap car tyres?

I always remind people who are considering new tyres not to go cheap. That 3 inch patch of tyre in contact with the road is what keeps you safe. Therefore one must ensure it is of the best quality as an accident only takes a second.

What is the current status of the Dunglass Castle property (possibly for sale?) as I noticed the sign read "Former Esso Plant"?

Re: London Road is falling down

Does renovation work not require a building permit? or do they just procede as they see fit? Looks like there has to be a change in this area.

Re: Abandoned Detroit

I don't think these posts on Detroit are remote from Glasgow as many comparisons can be made. Glasgow lost its shipbuilding and allied industry, its heavy industry, half its population, its shipping industry (it being replaced elsewhere by containers), it has unemployment, considerable areas of the ...
