Re: Fountains Lost and Found

Does anyone know what happened to the Fountain outside the Kelvingrove Art Galleries before the renovation? Was it moved somewhere or just scrapped? Think it was originally part of the Garden Festival - Snowden's Childrens' Fountain? I know some people didn't like it but there is just a van selling ...

Re: Old Abandoned Lavvies

Govan Lavvies viewable for the first time in years. Unfortunately this means the ceiling has been ripped off in preparation for paving over. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4094/4799147652_4383e9ca2f.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4137/4799147058_baeac45139.jpg

Re: Where is this please???

That's Arrochar St in Summerston. stinkpad is right here, that is exactly where I would cross the railway line going to my Granny's house at lunch time from school. That would be about 25 years ago and that is exactly how I remember it - looks so different now. I know I shouldn't have been crossing...

Re: old book

I’m very intrigued by this boat. Done a wee search on Google and found reference to this and another similar boat found some years earlier whilst cutting a sewer in the Stockwell. See HERE

I’m wondering what happened to the boats, were they preserved?

Napier House Update

Looks like it is getting demolished - Govan Road is closed both ways today and signs up around saying "Demolition in Progress" (Reigart).

I'm Gutted!
