Re: Buckfast, why not seen

A butcher in N.I. is making pasties containing a drop or two of Buckfast.
They are made in Lurgan where the drink is known by some locals as Lurgan Champagne

Re: The Girly Thread

I've heard of people selling dresses in shops selling second hand or what some call preloved clothing. Perhaps a search on Google to see if there is one in your area. I sold mine in a shop which sold second hand and end of line clothing. Also some people sell privately via classified adverts in loca...

Re: Definitive New Year Tune

I assume Fossil got sorted out or we would have heard from him by now.
The thread was started in 2015 but guessing he's been busy as he hasn't posted for a while.

Re: Films set in Glasgow, without squalor, neds, or gangster

Did anyone see Benedict Cumberbatch filming in Glasgow?

I believe Glasgow was transformed with yellow cabs, street signs and flags to look like New York.

Re: random question

Does anyone think it odd the banks are trying to get rid of the old pound coins and yet some shops say they will extend the period? I don't know about Glasgow but in parts of N.I. they haven't even adapted for the new coins yet. In recent times I've used old coins in car park machines and the securi...

Re: HG Movie Critique.

Talking of lengthy films 'Gandhi' which I thought was a good film lasted something like 3 hours 11.
I think I read somewhere that 'Gone with the Wind' was nearly four hours (3hr 58) I believe.

I know what you mean though I think anything over two hours is a long time.

Re: Boredom Thread: What advert drives you insane?

I know the clowns in Audi advert are probably meant to be seen as harmless type ones kids would have at a party or see at a circus. Perhaps it is just bad timing with it being October and Hallowe'en will be here before you know it. Last year the two events that I remember hearing about were the clow...

Re: Boredom Thread: What advert drives you insane?

Talking of Kevin and I think I'll remember him more in years to come for the adverts than his films. The one where he is on the plane and the other one where he appears with Britney. Yes the laundry basket one is just odd. I don't like the Audi advert with the clowns. After all the stories last year...

Re: Am I the only one?

Should they not have stopped making the 'Fast and Furious' films after Paul Walker died?
I realise he died during making of one so perhaps they felt they had to complete as a tribute to him.
