Re: What are you watching?

I'm the only female in a house with husband and son but luckily we've a second tv or it would be golf, darts, football and sci-fi on regular basis.

I do sympathise with you and in case you're wondering we do watch some things together.

Re: Where can I Buy pageant dresses?

Here is a list of shops in an article from earlier this year.
The dresses shown may or may not be in stock but at least it would give you an idea of shops you can try.

Re: Sad News

I am so sorry to hear about Josef.

I never met the man but his posts were always worth reading.
He actually sent me some PMs once or twice when I was clearing a relatives house and there were rather a lot of books.

He seemed to play a large part in the HG Forums and will be missed by many people.

Re: Belmont Crescent School

crusty_bint,

Thank you for the photos you posted. They are great.

Believe it or not my Mum attended Craigholme and later went to Laurel Bank.

I hope to be in Glasgow in the autumn so I must go and take a few photos.

Re: Belmont Crescent School

I have now inherited a picture which has label on the back which states school was at number 7.
I would love to see photo of the area as it looked in the 1920's.

Perhaps Robert Pool will come up with some suggestions.

Re: CENTRAL STATION DOC SERIES BBC SCOTLAND

I watched 'Great British Railway Journeys' on 8th May and Michael Portillo was traveling to Glasgow.
He was staying at the Grand Central Hotel and there was a piece about the station.

I expect it was on before and will be on again at some stage.

I have a wedding to go to in November so hope I might pick up something in the sales before then.
