I have just read this terrible news and can only echo all that has been said about such a warm, compassionate and fun man.

Re: When Music Was Music. Frank Skerret Show

Ink Man! Thank you very much indeed. I've added that to my Frank Skerret playlist. It seems downright perverse that Frank and his show are so scantily referenced on the otherwise all-knowing internet with it's ability to keek round the most obscure corners into the past. Regardless; When Music was ...

Re: When Music Was Music. Frank Skerret Show

Always listened to his shows as a young kid. There is almost nothing online about him bar a few mentions of Radio Clyde on forums suck as this. Dean Park was on TV talking to another Scottish entertainer (who I forget) and mentioned that Frank was a Solicitor and lost hs leg late in life; whilst sti...

Re: Not really interesting facts about yourself

InkMan, you are one of the angels that we all have to thank for standing up in what must be really challenging situations, and its great to know you find that very challenge ultimately rewarding. I know its not something I could ever do, and its really inspiring to hear the positives that you exper...

Re: Not really interesting facts about yourself

I always celebrate this day. My Facebook post explains why: Nine years ago today I left a full time, permanent position within the Civil Service in order to take up a position in Social Care. I was leaving a job with thirty days annual leave per year, thirteen days public holidays, an enhanced rate ...

Re: Bob HollowHorn

My abiding memory of his was a warm, funny, intelligent man who was great company and always showed kindness and concern to those around him. That is something we should all aspire to.

Re: One for the railway heads

It's absolutely tiny - literally a small corner of the ticket and travel centre next to the Gordon St entrance. I used the Euston one a couple of years ago (since refurbished) and it was OK, but I had just come off the Sleeper and only had a couple of cans of juice. It, at least, has showers and ot...
