Was it not originally red because in Glasgow the police boxes were a joint resource for the police and fire services? They were repainted in the last decade or so in blue when they underwent some renovation IIRC.

To add to the Edinburgh Tollcross record shop, mate of mine found an import copy of a Mahavishnu Orchesta CD with an extra track on it. He asked if he could hear the track to see if it was one he already had. "Mate, I'd rather have a customer leave the shop in disgust than play that shite"...

Clydebank Baths facing demolition

100 year old slipper baths to be demolished. Can't be all that many pre-blitz buildings in Clydebank, pity the cooncil is in a hurry to demolish one of them.
