I agree ladies, it is indeed all about hygiene. What I was going to go on and say was that if you ladies can manage to lift and replace the "lid" then why the heck can't you replace the seat without complaining however, after reading all the replies I'm going to have to eat humble pie and ...

Re: Bling Anyone !!

Generally speaking I'd agree, however my daughter used to go to cheerleading and there were a few attendees that weren't lassies. Not sure I'd go as far as calling them male..............but definately not lassies. A case for the PC brigade then. cheerleader-person   cashmagiro

I havent seen an upended lid in any female house ive been in - who wants to look at blue/green/yellow (insert favourite loo cleaner colour here) water? Never thought of feng shui's influence in the toilet before. Is that why men p...

One to annoy the ladies.

Every now and again I hear talk of ladies complaining about us men failing to replace the toilet seat after we've finished widdling. (it's as old as the lavvies themsel this horror of horror) Apparently you ladies detest having to touch the seat, and I have to say I can understand your sentiments, I...

Re: First In Last Out

Sorry Cash but either you're recollecting the date wrongly or the engraving is wrongly dated. St Vincent Street was created in 1804. Check out Charles Ross's 1773 map (click on the top left of the map before zooming in) which shows Glasgow extending as far as Ingram St and St Enoch Square. http://w...

Thank you for a very informative reply Schiehallion...appreciated. First In Last Out

Glasgow city centre during the latter half of the 1700's, as many of you will know, was considered one of the most architecturally beautiful city centres' in Europe. I used to own a business up in West Regent St just down from Blythswood Sq and I frequently went up through the skylight window to vie...
