I remember walking along the canal with my parents and the custom house still being flakey blue. Aware of that intoxicating smell and head feeling. And my mum always said, that was the angels' share. I used to work with people moving out of Lennox Castle, got plenty of time to wonder round the estate. Not brave enough to try and look inside the old castle, but there were plenty of old kitchens, workshops, etc to wonder round away from the remaining wards.
