Re: Oddities

The loss of the jugglers' angular momentum might well affect the Earth's axis of rotation. What would happen next? Would the Antipodean jugglers spread out to restore balance or will the planet tip over? How will it affect global warming and the seasons? I think we should throw a cordon around the ...

Re: Gay Glasgow

a club called 'Eros' (and I believe—though wouldn't know first hand—that there's now a sauna of the same name in Glasgow); A horrible manky place where your feet stick to the floor, with a stale musty smell throughout, badly in need of redecoration and suspicious-looking residue on the surface of t...

Re: Fookin seagulls

My grandfather used to tell me about feeding seagulls with pieces of calcium carbide, which they used to get for bicycle lamps, when wetted it gives off acetylene gas, he said seagulls can’t burp so they would blow up, I was very sceptical but I always thought it would be fun to give it a go! Would...

He maintained that they explode, but that sounds apocryphal if you ask me. Plenty of gulls here in EK; maybe I should see if there's any truth in it, or just an...
