Re: rosshall gardens, cardonald

Hi, I live local to the gardens and as Alex said a friends of Rosshall group has been set up. It's still very much in it's infancy but I'm sure all involved will be doing their best to improve the situation.
I've got a history of Rosshall booklet which I'll try to scan and upload soon.

At the centre of the origional pic you can see the MacIntosh building. It used to form a wee court yard behind the old reception which has now been demolished.

Re: Bombs over Glasgow in WW2

My Mum stays in Old Drumchapel and one of the neighbours said that my mum's house was damaged during the war.
I've stumbled accross this picture of the church just round the corner.

I was wearing a pale blue normal work shirt, and walking through town yesterday past M&S on Argyle St about 5, when I was asked if I would like my head removing from my shoulders for wearing that colour at their end of town. Said gentlemen were wearing nice green and white scarves around their ...

Re: Quick Hide The Telly!

How many of you lot don't listen to BBC radio? Or use the website? £2.50 a week for the online content alone is a bargain. ..As is the sheer honour of being able to go down to electric luvvyland and watch all the gods, demi-gods and semi-demi-gods too-ing and fro-ing in their shiney new galley-ship...

Re: Auld Glesga Trams & Buses

I used to live on Kinfauns Drive, and I remember playing footy on the bit of grass between the police station and the orange hall, a bus I'm sure it came up peel glen road stopped at the bus stop out side the police station and burst into flames. Must have been between 1985 and 87 at a rough guess.

I didn't have a camera so no photos of my own. No fatalities, but some injuries. Some years later this bus caug...
