Re: Glasgow Central Stop and Search

 ....in other words, the Police are getting fly to the fact that when they are 'going over the top' with such searches, many are just an excuse to levy power over the public....they are objecting to the possibility of someone taking a photo or video showing them 'up to their tricks'.... Wonder ...

Re: BBC Question Time

8O As much as I personally detest Griffiths and all he stands for, the BNP is only 1 of a quite large group of extremists who litter our society. I also remember, many years ago Scottish Nationalists, being given 'the treatment' because they wanted to break away from the English. There are many isol...

Re: Ask Alex

:?: You should also remember that prior to the first brick being laid...the local communities demanded, and received definite proposals that the new shopping trollies, would be unable to travel outwith the Silverburn area....! There is no way the monitoring can take place when there is no specific t...

Re: tesco

::): ::): Tesco pricing policy has nothing to do with 'bargains for the daily shopper', in fact if you were to ask most supermarket shoppers, their preferred choice to spend money on the 'daily essentials'....would be ASDA. In fact on almost all aspects of shopping, its really only the 'greed for Te...

Re: Lights out for The Lighthouse

8O remembering the building when I worked there, serving my apprenticeship, I always felt that it was a strange choice to hold exhibitions, apart from its central location, it had very little going for it. It was expecially difficult to access when elderly/disabled, so entry fees added to the decisi...

Re: Better Homes, better Lives with GHA

8O most sitting tenants of housing about to be transferred to 'most' Housing Associations.....were asked to 'join' and become full members............ Included in that 'membership' was the statement that until the HA thought otherwise, tenants would lose their right to buy under the legislation........

Re: Better Homes, better Lives with GHA

  My Kitten on June 15th was probably closer to the truth than she fully realised. GHA and most other Housing Quangos, were set up to dive-into the private money being made available by the Government to Housing Associations NOT Council property departments. So, put 2 and 2 together, and...

Re: Silverburn and Pollok Civic Realm

:D when you state that all the shops get a vote as to who to let in.....I hope that this will not begin a system whereby the 'poorer of us' may be barred from the Centre for not wearing good enough clothes or whatever, about time Silverburn took note and smell the air......you built a Centre to attr...

Re: Pollok Park site for "Go Ape" centre.... just say NO!!

Did not realise that Disney...

Re: Pollok Park site for "Go Ape" centre.... just say NO!!

sites for social housing are thin on the ground, and i applaud sites being taken to build social housing, but let's be honest, the housing associations are no better than an extension of the Council anyway, simply qualifying for 'different money', does not make them better. The land sites I am conce...

Re: Pollok, Househill and Hurlet

8) unfortunately, there is NO provision for advertising local events, excepting the local newsagent, however, the point was that contrary to what is being published officially, there is no source where local general information can be seen, for interest. local housing offices frown on any informatio...
