Great Western Road closed at Anniesland Cross 29/04/2011

Hi guys,

After being away all day yesterday with the family we came home at about 19:00 lastnight and noticed the police had blocked off the road at Anniesland Cross up to and possibly beyond Dorchester Avenue so just wondered if anyone here knows what happened?

I made my way there today, but didn't hae the courage to go near the old Calder Park zoo. I spoke to an old guy who joked that he didn't know if any animals had been left in the derelict zoo site, but people in the surrounding area, going walking in the woods near dusk, had spotted this: http://www...

Does anybody remember the guy that went about mainly the Eastend on a gold honda superdream that looked like a goldwing and he had a rig built into it. And I read about somebody that went about with a bike that had a rig in I think it was a shopping basket well I used to go about when I was about 16...

Question about a sundial

Hi guys,

I've not been on the forum for a while due to ill health but recovering now and was wondering if anyone can help me with my query?

Can anyone tell me anything about the sundial on the side of the house at the corner of Royston Road and Royston Square?

Hidden Glasgow book

I noticed on Amazon.com that theres a book called Hidden Glasgow by Carol Foreman http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hidden-Glasgow- ... 1841587206 is this book anything to do with these forums?

Thanks Rosa, I took a wee jaunt on the bus on friday to the shop and after the driver forgetting to let me know where I was to get off I found it after walking back a wee bit he's got some interesting foodstuffs in there. Aparently his other shop on Sinclair drive is to close after being there for 5...

mark's deli Sinclair drive

Hi guys,

I went over to Marks deli on Sinclair Drive but it's closed on a saturday and sunday I know he's got a shop in Giffnock thats open on a sunday but don't know the address so wondered if any of you guys know where it is in Giffnock
