Re: Peter Manuel case Mount Vernon

I'll confess that I have no idea, but I hope you get a useful answer from somebody.

I hope your project goes well, by the way - we like history :)

Re: Not really interesting facts about yourself

I don't think I've ever met such a curious fuck-up of a year as 2016.

If we turn it off and on again will it be ok?

Re: What song are you listening to?

I was on the bus from Griante to Como one morning a few weeks ago, at about 9am. (As you do.) Bus full of students and annoying tourists (which would include me, I suppose). Anyhow, as a matter of course the late-teens-ish students were cheerfully playing shite music on a smartphone - the usual chir...

This *might* be taken from Vermont Street - I'm not quite sure. Seems to be as close as there is on RCAHMS - and taken by the inevitable John R Hume in 1967.

Re: Tower Block Demolitions - Rolling Updates!

scottwramsay wrote:Anyone got any updates on the timing of the demolition next Sunday?

The Herald have said they're keeping schtum about the exact time, but confirm the 8am exclusion. You'd imagine at least an hour after that, maybe more, to make sure the area's cleared?

Re: Latest project, 1967 VW beetle restoration.

I'm the first to admit that I know pretty much naff all about cars, but I'm enjoying this ongoing series. However, have you any idea what that pipe thing attached to the intake manifold was ever intended to achieve? I'm kind of intrigued. (Presumably nobody would attach a pipe to a crucial piece of ...

All hail John :D

Let us all say together: "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
