Being in another country, I don't think there's any way that I would explore alone. Here at home, sure... but I don't know the area at all and the last thing I'd want to do is run into some sort of trouble and not have someone to share the worry with. I don't have nightvision, or thermal imaging, or...

I guess I'm too chicken to go on my own. I'd like to go with someone who knows the area. I'm going to drag another Canadian along with me, I hope. He's been in Glasgow for a year now. I just don't like exploring by myself - too risky, in case something goes wrong.

Will do. We leave next week, and I'm stoked. We're going to spend a few days in and around Glasgow, then head up to Elgin, then Inverness, then Fort William and then back to Glasgow for a couple of days.
