Re: Glasgow Central Stop and Search

There seems to be far to many incidents involveing so called amateur photograghers at train stations just now ,either there is a dramatic increase in them taking pictures of trains and stations or there is something in what the papers say ,i prefer to keep my options open for now ,only time will tell.

Re: Is Glasgow really as dangerous as it sounds?

Friendly Glasgow a hit for tourists Foreign tourists in a survey named spending time with "friendly people" as their holiday highlight ahead of the city's shops and cultural attractions... Though I have been assaulted a few times in Glasgow, once even outside a police station!!! If you st...

Re: Is Glasgow really as dangerous as it sounds?

Re: Is Glasgow really as dangerous as it sounds?

There is nothing wrong with visiting football games ,but if you cheer for the home team in Glasgow then that means you are against the visiting team ,not to good an idea. There is an old story in glasgow ,that scotland was playng germany ,a german supporter made the mistake of wandering into the sco...

Re: Is Glasgow really as dangerous as it sounds?

Try to avoid football in Glasgow, especially the old firm ,that is where you can get into trouble ,go to the games if you must but don't enter into any sort of arguement about them .You will enjoy your time in Glasgow ,dont listen to the newspapers to much.

Re: Most violent streets in Glasgow

You should try living in the likes of Bute. We have a local cop shop in the middle of the town ,if you shouted loud enough they would probably hear you,but if you need them you have to phone through a call centre and the cops appear hours later.if you try to get hold of an offender untill they arri...

Re: Most violent streets in Glasgow

I have to agree it is violent in Glasgow. Most of time police are never around when needed. Mainly because of two reasons - although the number of overall police officers is the highest it's probably ever been, the number of actual response officers is probably at it's lowest. And those who are &qu...
