Thanks, Neil, and apologies for the delayed response. Been a bit tied up recently (no, not that way - just busy!)

"Green King" Ale

Within the last 2 weeks I passed a Glasgow pub that had a banner advert for the Green King ale that it was selling.

I can't remember which pub it was (too much Green King, no doubt!)

Can anyone help, please.

Thanks.

Thanks. If it comes to it, I'll give it away rather than see it go unused.

Websites for over-60s

Can anyone recommend "chat-type" websites of particular interest to the over-60s in Glasgow and the west? I have a Glasgow-London train ticket for sale, but it's only valid with a Senior Railcard. Thanks in advance.

The modern views are worthless (if interesting), regardless of resolution, since the forest has been obliterated for decades: I'm not convinced that this necessarily follows, and believe it will depend on what the land is now used for. Of course, if it has been reforested, that makes life difficult...

How about views from the air? The evidence of any kind of "crop" activity of this kind is very persistent and will exist for hundreds, even thousands, of years even if the ground has been ploughed, etc. many times. I've had quick look at Google maps http://maps.google.com/ but the Satellit...

Thanks, folks. The part I hadn't understood was that the HG server time is always GMT.

All clear now.

Hi, Sharon and cheesylion. The situation seems to be a wee bit more complex than that, at least in my case (I'm using Win XP Pro SP2 on a standard Intel-based PC clone, my timezone is correctly set to GMT, and my system clock advanced by 1 hour to BST last weekend without any help from me). I said e...

Amost begs the responses No shit? No shit! Quite a good one, but the BBC's original spaghetti-harvest film is still way out there in the lead, IMHO (and it's 50 years old this year) http://search.bbc.co.uk/cgi-bin/search/results.pl?scope=all&edition=d&q=spaghetti+trees&go=Search

Times of postings in HG

Where does HG get its time from? My Win XP correctly advanced by 1 hour to BST last weekend, but HG seems to think its still wintertime.

Is the only fix to amend the time zone in the profile?
