Been away for ages and I come back to me old thread again! That's what happens when you don't live near Glasgow any more... To answer old questions, to avoid caustic noise, don't use caustics! The noise on my station image, I think, was for effect rather than an effect of the settings. And my comput...

Probably lying a back room or a skip now though, replaced by a computer fly through thingy. Anybody on the inside know? The VR Glasgow model is a start.... http://img30.exs.cx/img30/1648/VRGlasgow.jpg I think the Merchant City Initiative are producing some kind of virtual model of that area, with m...

This should probably go in the "Past & Present" thread, but while we're on the subject, this is how the Kelvinbridge station (beyond the meatal gates) look today... That's not actually the underground though, but part of the Glasgow Central Railway, the Botanic gardens station is further up the...

although it could do with beefing up a bit

Bit of a distraction to the thread topic but yes, something like that, although as a subforum so we can update it ourselves. Takes a wee bit of work off our hardpressed admins :)

It might be a good idea if the forums had a line saying something like: A good idea, that. On the other hand, I think if people posted a small enough sample of scans advertising publications of note, small enough to enourage buying it as this thread already has for a few of us, there shouldn't be t...

An ethical minefield indeed... I think if it's images you've scanned, as long as they're credited, which you've done, you'll be fine, or only get asked to remove them if not. I was only referring to linking to images on other websites. Keep the photos coming, as far as I'm concerned :) And, looks l...

(Just a thought for the moderators, and not getting at anybody here, but if we're trying to have a more professional web site, should we really be "publishing" other people's work with out their permission?) Image leeching is generally frowned on in most other forums I tend to frequent. Unless you'...

It does look a bit shabby and a tad dated now. What it needs is a complete Jubilee, or woz it Millenium Line style overhaul. Has there evr been any intention to expand the system does anyone know? Iv never heard any such plans myself, but always thought it could be quite easily done. Well, for the ...

Great photos. I always wondered what it was like before. I wonder how it would look if they were upgrading it these days rather than 25 years ago, because let's face it, it's pretty dingy even now. I reckon with all the insistence on natural light and space these days, they'd have kept the roof wind...

There is a particularly good one of george Bush and someone in a big pit. I think Blair shoved them in...which seems a little odd.. And its Dick Cheney also in the pit... Looks more like John Major to me, can't recognise the other guy. Brilliant idea though, even if it only works from one angle

I grabbed these off a forum a while back, quite long but pretty useful, if scarily written: 1. THOU SHALT WORK IN FUCKING ILLUSTRATOR. I'm not shitting you here. You DO NOT produce a logo in photoshop unless there is NO OTHER WAY. Wanna know why? What if you want to change colors on the fly? What if...
