Re: Lost Car Dealerships

Sorry forgot to say Humber were part of the Rootes Group. When I get the chance I will upload my 1953 matchbooks from Wylies.

Re: Lost Car Dealerships

In reply to an earlier post Anderson's of Newton Mearns were Humber dealers back in the early 60's. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v674/johnnyanglia/Hum1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v674/johnnyanglia/Hum2.jpg PS I am willing to swop this for a Ford Item of similar vintage.

Re: Appleyards garage - Springkell Avenue

Hi, Arnold Clark's former Garage in Vinnicombe Street is under threat of demolition(see posts on other parts of forum). Jaimie Gibbon is still operating under the bridge going out to Milngavie as Gibbon and Wilson specialising in classic Jaguars, best wishes, Johnny.

Re: Appleyards garage - Springkell Avenue

Re: Lion Chambers??

The Lion Chambers is a magnificent piece of architecture in terms of historical importance, aesthetics and construction method. To allow it to degrade any further or be pulled down would be obscene.

Re: tommy sherridan

Regardless of what has happened nothing can take away the amount of good Tommy has done in the last 20 years. To blindly tar him with the same brush used on other politicians does neither him or Socialism any justice.
