In the 70's it was more of a Ted hangout and had a good selection of "Brothel Creepers" in the window. In my youth i bought a pair of "Winklepickers" from there. The staff at that time were like ageing Teds.

I remember "Jack the Lad" well. As far as i know it was run by a few Glasgow City councillors and sold "stay press" and "waffle trousers". It was in business roughly between 1980-83.
