potatojunkie, was there any reason for "the mass exodus to the GOMA" or was it just because there was no other suitable meeting place in the city centre? Also was there any other reaction to your presence from shopkeepers/public apart from the goma staff?

NOOO! you HAVE to go to florence, its by far one of the best cities in Italy, brunellechi's dome is a must see and the views from the tower are amazing!!!

but do go to the colluseum in rome, its amazing, and although queues seem massive don't take up the offers from tour guides saying they'll get u in faster, the queues actually move quite fast, plus you get to hear americans say the funniest things... american woman "why didnt they finish it?&qu...

pisa is shit, unless your desperate to see the tower, which is really not that impressive (compared to the campanile in venice etc).
