I had a scary black bug in my kitchen the other day(doubly-scary as I had just been stung by a wasp). It was about an inch long and when I approached it to cover it with kitchen towel it raised its tail, scorpion-like, and stood still. My hubby soon set about it with his slipper but I now wish I'd ...

Thanks HollowHorn and glasgowken. Fair enjoyed those photies. The one with the buses(youtube) was interesting. The Knightswood one must have been taken from the corner of Great Western Road and Warden Road. Good to see how the houses on GWR used to look. Does anyone recall what building that is over...

I am absolutely loving this thread. I find it all very fascinating seeing the old Glasgow, especially when I vividly remember an area and how it used to be. I've spent two evenings viewing this thread and went to bed, bleary-eyed and seeing images of Glasgow buildings in my sleep!! I had to laugh at...

The Yoker one is still on the go, on a Sunday. Not as busy as it used to be though. Was thinking of having a clear-out and heading down there soon. Hoping it might be busier with Christmas looming.

Flag Flying?

Would you be able to enlighten me as to who is responsible for flying all manners of flags from the building at Anniesland Cross? This has puzzled me for years. Thank you.

The poor end was anything beyond the wee burn below Glenkirk and Belsyde. We had pantry cupboards and we all had jo...
