The Museum in Almond Valley Farm park in Livingston has a large exhibition on shale mining and industrial life in West Lothian. Well worth a look and if you time it right, the wee railway should be running too.

Indeed I concur. The footbridge goes over to Glencryan school, and those warehouses was where Empire Stores catalogue was, across the road from Cumbernauld fire station.

There is a model fair in Graeme High School, Falkirk on the first sunday of every month. 1pm-4pm. Its run by McLaren Models Tel. 01324 624102. I've managed to pick up some good bargains there.
