Here's a strange one from a coupla decades back. My Mother-in-law Jean had a sister Joan who had been left quadraplegic after an ambush during the Greek Cypriot conflict in the fifties. A wire across the road and she ran her motorbike straight through it. Snipers were waiting for the First Aid help....
