Re: UEFA Cup Final

Returned from Manchester yesterday having had a great time but I've been sickened by what I've since seen on the news of events, be them before/during or after the game. Re: Re:

Sorry for a slight change in topic, but I'm sure someone on this thread will know exactly the answer to my question.... What does the 'TW' with red cross out line sign mean at the end of the platforms/entrance to the tunnels? It's only up sometimes and I've always wondered what it stood for? Thanks...

Re: The Glasgow Winds

Check out the video clips on the Evening Times page. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/display.var.1952108.0.0.php About half way through the top video, large areas of the cladding have come away at the Glasgow Harbour with some of it embeded in the grass! Glad I wasn't out and about last night.

.... a tenement collapse near a controversial building site.... What's the controversial building site? Were they building on the gap site? Sounds like they must've undermined the foundations or something! Edit... Sorry, should read things before I press submit, the Evening Times story says they're...

Not sure, but they said it fell onto open ground, and I think from memory there's a break in the terrace at one point, so maybe there. It was a gable end I think.

Heard about it on Clyde 1 this morning.
My first port of call to find out what had happened was on here!
Glad no one was hurt.

Another crash today (Bridge Street/Eglington Street and Norfolk Street/Nelson Street), though this time a van on it's side. Did take a snap, but on second thoughts won't upload it since I don't know if anyone was hurt. There were no other cars, though I suppose they might have already been towed. Ok...

It seemed to be working today - all of the hamsters must have been fed and running furiously around in those little hamster wheels which power the thing. Hmm, someone forgot to feed some of the hamsters over the holiday weekend, only the inner circle was working this morning! A rather stuffy and bu...

Has anyone else noticed the three advertising boards on the grassy area just next to the site have been covered in graffiti about the proposed Tesco's? I'll snap a pic next time I'm passing. One of them says something about there are already 8 supermarkets in Partick. Just out of curiosity, can anyo...

But my theory is - historic and pivotal site - don't mix the old with the new. The only way to not mix the 'old' with the 'new' is to not build at all. Anything at all you build, is going to be new anyway! Trying to build something that looks old, never works, or it has to be done to such a high st...
