I've just read through all eleven pages of this thread and I'm saddened to say that I've never been in any of the 'dodgy' pubs menioned... I haven't lived. Dodgiest place I've been in Glasgow was a pub on Great Western Road, possibly called "The Hub" (not far from where the Clydesdale Bank...

Is there much merit in an exploration of the route above the subway line? I've completed about 2/3 of the walk around the circle line of the Seoul subway (43 stops in total, so taking a while to do it in bits and pieces) and have found quite a number of interesting sights and places that aren't real...

Also I don't think it's been mentioned in this thread, but the book shop that used to be next to Hillhead subway station (can't remember what it was called) had a reasonably decent CD section on the third floor, with a lot of music listings and concert posters on and around the doorway at the top o...

You'll find it here. http://tinyurl.com/jc7yk Hmm.. will need to investigate those, thanks. I was tempted more by the bargain basement price of the CD in Missing though than the prices quoted on that site, and I'm not sure Wendy James is worth that much  Also I don't think it's been mentioned...

Ooops, should have done this thread first. Ah well.. former resident of Glasgow and a certain west coast 'resort' town famous for ice cream and old folk, now living in South Korea and married to a local but we're aiming for an eventual move to Glasgow's West End (well, that's where I want to live ag...

I remember the halcyon days of Missing well, with the store on Great Western Road and the one at the Trongate where I almost got my hands on the holy grail that is Wendy James' solo album, however sadly (mercifully?) the bloke behind the counter couldn't locate the CD to go in the case and I'm still...

(Long time forum reader, first-time poster) I lived in the Cessnock area (Ibrox Street, can't remember the number) for about six or seven months seven years ago whilst at University, and this thread was an interesting read. I quite fancied one of the houses in Walmer Crescent and preferred walking a...
