Glassford St Chippy

Had an unfortunate incident in the chippy across from Argos at the bottom of Glassford Street. Full on fish and hair surprise. Brought this incident up to the chef (?). Gave me a look like it was me that implanted it below the batter. I'm sure everyone has a pube supper story. Anyway from the bad to...

MAKRO

Deathwatch featured some scenes shot in Makro in Hillington if I remember rightly. Kietel is a bit of a Glasgow fav as he was also in Down Where the Buffalo Roam which was shot in the city and doon the water. Small Faces features the old (sniff, sniff ) granary building. Regeneration was shot in an ...

GPO

Anyone noticed the big chimney sticking out the top of the George Square PO? Could it be another vent. Walked by it today and asked if I could have a wee look inside ( they seem to be stripping it out ). Got a big no though. Next time anyone walks by the lift shaft house at Buchanan G and the door i...

Royal Exchange Building

I was going by the Royal Exhchange Building on the corner of Queen St and Ingram Street at lunch today and I noticed the entrance to the underground car park ( next to O'Briens) was open. Does anyone know if this is connected to the tunnels under Queen Street? Anyone been down there?

Jump on the lift up to that terence conran eatery and look down into the pit behind the boards. There seems to be wee doorways below ground. Could these be stables? Don't know but it looks kinda interesting in an underground type business kind of way.

Underground Stables

A couple of years back a friend of mine(who was studying architecture at the time) said that there are stables behind Princess Square. These stables are supposed to be underground. I notice behind Princess Square (go down the wee alley next to The Lab and then head into the back court) that there ar...
