Not sure if this is the correct thread , but it deals with military Glasgow history. 159 Butterbiggins Road , Govanhill. This building in Govanhill has lost part of it's signage to reveal stone carved lettering underneath. At one side the carving probably says "1st" and at the other shows...

I thought he was dead... Actually Im sure he is.. A big fav of my gran was Mr Abie.. MR ABIE died two years ago in dublin while visiting his son Darren, He was cremated in dublin with three people at the cremetorium, his son and daughter brought his ashes back to east kilbride and a memorial servic...
