Hi all I know I've been quiet recently - got distracted by some music sites and stuff, I do drop in from time to time, but never really had anything to add! But anyway I got my pack thru yesterday and since I'm #118 so I'm looking for sponsorship from some pretty major telephone directory companies....

It operated as a place for hiring bikes for a few years in the early 70s and then the markings were there to cycle on in the evenings and when it closed down. Glasgow Uni are considering plans to demolish the Boyd Orr as well as other 60/70s buildings such as the Adam Smith - they might even extend to doing something with The Hub. My opinion is that they are pretty ugly asbestos ridden buildings. Glasgow Uni do seem to take their time making decisions so ...

I passed St Francis Maternity Hospital the other week in Merryland Street in Govan. It has 'disappeared' as far as being a hospital, but following refurbishment, is now rather splendid looking houses. Any HG'ers born here ?? I was born there, wee brother was born in the QM as mum hated the St Franc...
