Audrey, just read your post, cant agree more . I was born there 1963 , and to this day find it hard to get info , went up recently and walked around the ruins of the castle building ,so earie, dreadful how kids were treated ,all swept under a large establishment carpet.

yep remember that time , I recall seeing stickers on pedestrian crossings telling of impending doom all around Glasgow , but staying in east Kilbride ,also there was a great deal of mystery around the n.e.l circa 1982, nuclear bunker built for the elite ,.

east kilbride ,lived here for 54 years ,still finding new streets to walk ,sure its not shawlands or hyndland but it is what it was meant to be,originally working class people moving out of city ,making a healthier lifestyle, and it has been a good thing,lets not be so negative,

any chance of finding an old marina coupe or even an austin maxi ,are they now deed,?or is it just about vw, or mg or jags,now theres a chalenge for old motor photo fans ,lots of them all around ,just hard to find...., even Volvo s in a secret location ,between cumbernauld and ffalkirk, ,..............
