Re: What are you watching?

Watched that "Drinkers Like Me: Adrian Chiles" thing last night. That was pretty good.

Later on, I'll be watching last nights ep of "Celebrity Eggheads". Not normally a quiz/gameshow type of person, but this one has some of the "Still Game" cast on it.

1949 version.
One of my late dad's favourite films. :)

I have recorded 2016 version but not got round to watching it yet.

Despite some of it being filmed in the hills above Greenock, I haven't got around to watching this either.

Sailor.

The BBC's landmark documentary series from 1976 about the HMS Ark Royal and her crew.
I popped into my local CeX yesterday afternoon while I was in town, just to see if they had anything interesting. :)

Re: What are you watching?

Sea Patrol. It's an Australian drama series from about ten years ago, about the crew of a Royal Australian Navy patrol ship, HMAS Hammersley , as they tackle smugglers, foreign fishing vessels, illegal immigrants, even the odd terrorist here and there. The episodes are pretty much stand alone, but t...

Re: What are you watching?

The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco.

Frankly, I'm wondering why I bothered. It's so obviously not filmed in San Francisco it's almost painful.

Waterloo replayed - 15th and 16th June 2019.

Of interest to the historians among us.

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, and to play the world's biggest miniature wargame, the battle is being refought.

Quite fancy going along to watch for a while. :)

"Kings of the Wyld" by Nicholas Eames.

Fantasy with a broad streak of black comedy running through it. Sort of "The Magnificent Seven" meets "Conan the Barbarian".
