Blueboy wrote:Why are conductors called conductors?
They don't conduct music or electricity - they just check and sell tickets???

(Bet you were all expecting a joke there) :)

You only get conductors on diesel trains. It's ticket examiners on electrics.

Now that you have started there will be no stopping you.

Have you tried muffling the noise with blinds behind your curtains or a heavy curtain liner or both. Just a thought!

Met in the town one night so it was a deliberate shag, but a big mistake to do. Took me 6 months to get rid of her for a second time.

Things to do before you die!

Slightly the same as the death age thread, only different. How many have you done. You need not admit to them, though I'm sure we'd all like to know; 1. Have a really stupid accident which necessitates a hospital visit 2. Shoot something 3. Take a weekend break more than 1000 miles from home 4. Boot...

Re: British teenagers

"When will they ever learn?" Per-capita consumption of alcohol in the UK has doubled since the late 1950s, whilst in other developed countries such as France and Italy, it has more than halved. The cost of alcohol, in real terms, is half what it was in the 1970s. Between 1995 and 2001, bi...

That's the one. Have a sweetie! Even the bigger ships still have one. It might be made of steel, but it's still referred to as the "Anchor Rope".

There's places you can take your old cartiges in and get them re-filled. I think it works out a good bit cheaper. IIRC there's one towards the old Queens garage on P.shaws Rd.
