Hullo, I am a Rangers, not gay (are these normally related) and was born in Kames Street opposite Dixons Blazes, I was having a wee swally with Lord Howie in London who told me I looked Scottish and took me to his club, anyway he told me loads and loads about where I lived and the name of the family...

My Grandmother worked there in the 1940s/50s

I went to school in Oatlands once a week involved a detour to Tunnocks for a bag of brokies for shilling or was it 5 new pence.

Doug, I sat outside many of these establishments in a van munching a packet of crisps and guzzling a bottle of ginger, could have been in every van belonging to whoever he worked for at the time, probably vans in front and behind had the same thing going on, I think I was lucky as I got a Beano, Dan...

I knew a Bobby Taylor one of about seven kids, red hair and was known as " Bobby Taylor Ginger Bottle Merchant", he spent every waking hour taking bottles back for a deposit, probably a tycoon now.

Used to live in Ctamond Street, Oatlands
