good place I go to when I'm killing time between meetings is the City Inn on the Riverfront. Free Wifi, free parking and nice coffee that isn't too expensive. Very calming environment too

I figure that by the time "the worst town in Scotland" finishes every town in Scotland will eventually be listed. I noticed in the other thread, that Edinburgh was getting a few good comments. Edinburgh would the best place in Scotland. If it was in the west and filled with Glaswegians. T...

Tonight for the first time ever I had to help a drunk friend home to the extent of actually digging in their pockets for the keys and dragging them onto the sofa. And I didn't just do it once, but twice in the one night!

why was that, ally? did you get the address wrong first time?

My other granny couldn't cook at all so it was Fray Bentos Steak and Kidney pies with chips from the chippie when we went there - which I'm sure tasted better then than it does today......

My impression is that more people listen to radio now than ever - and turning off tellies as well.

Radio 4, Radio Scotland and a bit of Real when I'm in karaoke music mood.

But Nardini's was a bit of an institution and landmark and had a few high teas in there. Wasn't there a bit of a family ...
