To be fair, I think this flooding caught everyone on the hop. Looks like it's going to be a regular feature. Knightswood was always a bloody wet place, but now - ouch! Wednesday evening - driving to Ferguslie from Kelso Street - thought the water was going to reach window level - just passing St Bre...

And now the other side of the coin - any programmes which will detect and show any intruders on your home network?

Great photo - first shot of the old school I've seen without the lorry parked outside! Bit of useless information - this is the Kent Rd view, gate on the left is the boy's gate beside the janitor's house, gate on the right is the girl's gate, and for the first time I've noticed the smaller building ...

Breadalbane St

Hi,
Try Yahoo groups (kentrd) - it's a group for those interested in Kent Rd Primary School - and the places they lived in - no doubt you'll meet some old neighbours, and there are plenty photos of the area.
Did you call Breadalbane St Breadalb-i-ane St too?

Love the photos.
Any chance of taking one of the Covenanters Marker on the graveyard gatepost? - my camera wasn't up to the job.
The fog - someone said very appropriate for Hallowe'en or Genealogists?
cheers

Old School Badges

Hi,
been searching for an old school badge for a mate in Canada. I've done the usual searches, Google, all that, no success.

I'm looking for a school badge for the old Kent Rd PrimarySchool in Anderston/Kelvinhaugh/Sandyford, or advice where I can get a photo of it?
Any ideas?

24 hour shopping

Ta Alex.
I enjoy a drive and a bit of shopping in the early hours, usually at ASDA Clydebank and Helen St, more recently at Tesco's in St Rollox, I didn't realise there was another store at Shettleston. With the addition of the new Pollok store, we've got a good selection now.
where did ub40 live? think that rings a bell
Ibrox is as near as I will say. Anyway, you don't need a time machine - never go to the Country and Western Clubs? Many of the old CBers there.

As far as I can make out, CB is not dead, it's just havin a kip!

Hi Davy many years ago, went for an "eyeball" with UB40 in Ibrox, lovely night (or morning), a few of us sat on the steps having a good blether, trying out our "fortified" home made wine, as you do, next thing quite a few upset neighbours descended on us, shouting "FFS"...

Buying CBs

Hi, weekends take a wander down to Moncur St at the Barras, or Parkhead Market. New CBs are not so dear. May even be able to buy 2nd hand at Parkhead? Now is a good time to get a CB, the "skip" is in, plenty of activity. There is a possibility that CB will go licence free towards the end o...
